The New Orleans Saints beat the New England Patriots highest score in Madden, I mean, in a single game on Sunday night by three points, demolishing the Indianapolis Colts, 62-7, on Sunday Night Football.
New England's highest score in a single game was 59 points in their 59-0 beatdown of the Tennessee Titans on October 18, 2009. Remember that one? Tom Brady threw for 389 yards and had six touchdown passes. Wes Welker had 10 catches for 150 yards and two scores and Laurence Maroney even had 123 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.
In the AFC East, the New York Jets hold the record for most points scored in a single game with 62 in a 62-28 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on November 17, 1985. The Buffalo Bills scored 58 points in a game against the Miami Dolphins on September 18, 1966 in a 58-24 win and the Dolphins scored 55 points in a 55-14 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on November 24, 1977.
The most points ever scored in a single game is 72 by the Washington Redskins in a 72-41 win over the New York Giants on November 27, 1966. The two teams combined for an NFL record 113 total points. If it wasn't for a late decision to go or a field goal with seven seconds left in the game, the Redskins would have come up one point shy of the NFL record for single points in a game at the time, which was 70 points scored by the L.A. Rams against the Baltimore Colts in 1950.
