The Dallas Cowboys will gallop into Gillette Stadium this Sunday (Oct. 16, 2011) to try and hand the New England Patriots just their second loss of the season beginning at 4:15 p.m. ET in Foxborough.
As expected, the Pats are a -300 favorite in the money line compared to the 'Boys, who are +250 underdogs and getting seven points in the spread with an over/under of 55.
Our fiscal friends over at Odds Shark share their thoughts on the odds and betting lines:
New England heads into a bye week by hosting the Dallas Cowboys, a team that has benefited from an extra week of rest and practice. Dallas has been solid for bettors in this situation, going 5-1 ATS in the past six seasons following a bye week. And they are getting 7.5 points early in the week from oddsmakers. Once again, the OVER could be the play where the Pats are concerned. In 20 recent games as a favorite, the OVER prevailed 17 times.
While New England is playing well and coming off last week's big win over the New York Jets, this is far from a "gimme" over an inconsistent but well rested Dallas team.
