With a New England Patriots win Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick would tie Dan Marino and Don Shula of the Miami Dolphins for the most wins (116) by an NFL quarterback-head coach duo in the Super Bowl era (since 1966).
Since Brady took over for Drew Bledsoe as the team's starting quarterback in 2001, the Patriots have made the playoffs eight times and won three Super Bowls. This season, the Patriots are 4-1 and currently tied with the Buffalo Bills atop the AFC East. Brady has thrown for 14 touchdowns and, with 1,874 passing yards through Week Five, is on pace to break Marino's record for most passing yards in a single season.
Last season, Brady and Belichick passed Terry Bradshaw and Chuck Knoll of the Pittsburgh Steelers (107 wins). A list of the top five winningest quarterback-head coach duos follows.
