Boston College senior lineman Anthony Castonzo is projected to be drafted by the New York Giants with the No. 19 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, according to SB Nation's newest 2011 NFL Mock Draft.
Castonzo is widely considered one of the top offensive lineman in this year's draft class. Castonzo was named to Lindy's preseason All-America first team and was also named to Phil Steele's Midseason All-American Fourth Team. In addition, Castonzo was named a finalist for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award.
Brian Galliford of SB Nation believes that Castonzo would be a good fit with the Giants in the long run.
19. New York Giants: Anthony Castonzo, OT, Boston College. The Giants need to begin grooming a better long-term replacement for David Diehl at left tackle; William Beatty has been a disappointment. Tom Coughlin's BC connection is well-known, and Castonzo is a sound technician that could start on either side - but perhaps not right away.
Castonzo will represent Boston College along with fellow senior Mark Herzlich, a standout linebacker, in the Senior Bowl on Jan. 29 at 4 p.m. EST.
