TheBoston Globe is reporting that Tom Brady will undergo foot surgery as soon as Thursday afternoon at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Late Wednesday evening, the Globe’s Shira Springer and Monique Walker reported that sources close to the quarterback indicated he would either go through with surgery on his right foot Thursday or Monday. The procedure will address a lingering injury that manifested itself into a stress fracture.
Brady’s surgery resembles one another Boston athlete has had recently:
“The operation, which may involve the insertion of a screw, is similar to what Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia had last fall for a fractured navicular bone.”
Surgery will not keep the quarterback from training camp.
