2011 NFL Draft, Second Round: Patriots Have Five Picks In Rounds 2 & 3 On Friday
Entering rounds two and three on Friday night, the Patriots have a grand total of five draft picks. New England owns the No. 33 overall pick, which is the first of the second round. In addition, the Patriots own the No. 56 pick and the No. 60 pick in the second round.

NFL Draft Trade: Patriots Trade No. 28 Overall Pick To New Orleans Saints
After drafting Nate Solder with the No. 17 overall pick, the New England Patriots decided they had all they needed in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. New England, which also owned the No. 28 overall pick in the first round, traded the selection to the New Orleans Saints, who used it to draft Alabama running back Mark Ingram.
