2011 NFL Draft Order: Patriots Get No. 28 Pick In First Round

The plan was for the New England Patriots to have the No. 32 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the order they would have had if they had won the Super Bowl. That was the plan, at least. But then Sunday and the New York Jets happened. So now the Patriots are drafting No. 28, as they were the team with the best record to be eliminated in the Divisional Round.

Picks No. 29 and 30 will be determined following next week's AFC and NFC Championship games; the loser of the Super Bowl gets the No. 31 pick, while the winner gets No. 32

The Patriots also have Oakland's No. 17 pick in the first round, via the Richard Seymour trade.
