Patriots Trying to Get Back to Foxboro

The New England Patriots have begun their journey back to Foxboro, despite snow still falling throughout Massachusetts.

Patriots rookie cornerback Devin McCourty tweeted around 11:40am that the team was starting its delayed journey home:

“On our way outta Rochester trying to get back home”

The team made sure they could complete their usual Monday media obligations before making their way home, with quarterback Tom Brady and other players making radio appearances from their Rochester hotel. The team is flying home, but they’re the only ones – nearly all other flights out of both the Rochester and Buffalo airports headed east are canceled.

How did the Patriots spend their time during their detour? They were limited to the clothes they brought with them – center Dan Koppen lamented to the Boston Herald’s Ian Rapoport that while he typically is prepared with extra clothes, this time was different:

“You know, everything other time I did. Not this time.”

That didn’t stop the Patriots from enjoying one of the region’s most well-known restaurants: Dinosaur BBQ. According to 13WHAM News in Rochester, Brady was spotted at the famous BBQ joint last night, and cornerback Darius Butler tweeted that tight end Alge Crumpler made a pit stop there before their ride home:

“Shout out to Alge gettin the whole team some Dinosaur BBQ for the plane ride. #niceee”
