Patriots At Bills: New England Clinches AFC East With Win Or Jets Loss

When the Patriots travel to play the Bills in Week 16, New England will be playing for more than just their 15th straight win over Buffalo. The Patriots will also be looking to wrap up the AFC east and clinch the conference's No. 1 seed for the playoffs.

The NFL playoff picture is still a bit crowded and not-so-clear, but the Week 16 playoff scenarios should help to make things clearer, with six teams in good position to clinch their trip to the postseason.

For the Patriots, it's a bit easier:

Patriots win the AFC East and clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC (and with it a first-round bye and home-field advantage for the playoffs) with a win or a Jets loss in Week 16

New England hasn't lost to since Week 1 of the 2003 season, while the Jets are at the 9-4 Chicago Bears. New York can clinch a Wild Card spot with a win or a tie against the Bears, or a Colts loss/tie, a Jaguars loss/tie or both a Chiefs loss and Chargers win/tie.
