Dan Connolly Named AFC Special Teams Player Of The Week

Dan Connolly -- offensive lineman Dan Connolly -- has been named the AFC's Special Teams Player of the Week.

As you may remember, Connolly returned a kickoff 71-yards in the Patriots' win over the Green Bay Packers Sunday night, setting the record for the longest return by an offensive lineman in NFL history. Connolly becomes just the second OL ever to win the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week award (Langston Walker won in 2004 for a blocked field goal).

After the game, his quarterback shared his thoughts.

"I've never seen anything happen so slow in my life," Tom Brady cracked. "It was an unbelievable play. I can never imagine anything like that is going to happen. That really was a big play in the game. If it happens, we've got to take advantage of it and Danny (made) that heads-up play, smart. They won't be kicking to him anymore, I'll tell you that."

And because it can never be seen too many times, video of Connolly's return after the jump.
