Remember that game in the preseason where Rob Gronkowski hopped into the end zone, dragging a defender all the way?
Well, this is why you don’t do that. After Brady led the team down the field in the last few minutes of the half, Gronkowski caught a pass around the 5-yard line, stayed on his feet, pushed towards the end zone, and coughed the ball up. That’s at least three points thrown down the drain, probably seven.
The Patriots are looking at a 10-point deficit at the half, and so far, aren’t showing signs that they’re a good enough team today to recover from it. Gonna need another good halftime talk from Bill Belichick.
