Patriots vs. Colts: Long Drive Puts Pats Up 14

The Patriots cleaned up a messy series of downs in the red zone to put up another seven points on the Colts, building an early 14-0 lead.

While the first drive was short and succinct, taking just four plays to go 32 yards, Brady and company had to work for this one. Picking apart the Colts five yards at a time, the Patriots drove 82 yards on 15 plays. The final series got a bit ugly, though, when an ugly backwards pass to Wes Welker lost five yards, setting the Patriots up with a 3rd-and-10 situation. Brady found Aaron Hernandez just short of the end zone, though, and the tight end swung into the end zone during the tackle, just barely breaking the plane before his knee hit.
