With an average mark of 7.88 though, New England is still well behind the No. 1 overall team, the Jets (average ranking of 2.25).
Fox Sports has the Patriots ranked No. 10 (the team's lowest mark), while FanHouse thinks the most highly of Tom Brady and company, ranking them No. 5.
Special teams keyed New England to a huge win over Miami Monday night, a win that allows the Patriots to stake their claim to a spot among the league's elite. The defense still flashes some holes, but it's hard to deal with an offense clicking like this one is.
