If you wondering what happens if you allow a 103-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, a blocked punt that results in a touchdown and a blocked field goal that gets returned for a touchdown -- a performance that head coach Tony Sparano called "embarrassing" -- we now know the answer: you get fired.
↵The Dolphins announced Tuesday morning that special teams coach John Bonamego has been let go (they promoted Darren Rizzi from assistant special teams coach to special teams coordinator).
↵↵"I truly appreciate everything that Bono has done for us. I think he's an outstanding coach and a helluva person and a really good friend," Sparano said at the start of his day-after press conference about 12 hours after Miami's 41-14 loss to New England. "It's a hard decision to make because he's a helluva guy and I know how hard this guy works. Nobody works harder than him at what he does."
