That was interesting.
The Vikings just put together a long drive almost entirely on the back of Adrian Peterson to go up 7-0, but they might have lost Percy Harvin along the way. The wide receiver went down after a big first down catch, and did not look good getting back up. The Vikings are saying it’s an ankle injury, and his return is questionable.
They might not need it the way Adrian Peterson is running though, as the Pats just don’t have much of an answer for him. After a Gary Guyton helmet-to-helmet hit on Brett Favre set the Vikings up with first and goal, Peterson pounded the ball in on 3rd-and-1. On review, Peterson seemed to come up short, but Bill Belichick’s challenge failed, and the Vikings took the early lead.
