Besides just calling it a "knee injury," there is still no official word from the Patriots regarding safety Patrick Chung, who left Sunday's game, or how long he'll be out. In an effort to find answers, the team is reportedly having Chung undergo tests to determine the severity of the injury, this according to Mike Reiss at ESPN Boston.
His source says that "it could be a couple of days before the extent of Chung's injury is known."
"Patrick is a pretty quick healer," Patriots coach Bill Belichick said during his weekly interview on Boston sports radio station WEEI. "Hopefully this won't keep him out long, if at all."
Chung was injured on the same play when the Chargers' Richard Goodman fumbled. It's been speculated that the second-year safety will miss 1-2 weeks. Chung is the team's second-leading tackler, behind linebacker Jerod Mayo.
