The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday at 4 P.M. ET, but don't expect the Patriots' Logan Mankins to be dealt before then.
On Monday, Bill Belichick said that "there's no signed contract with Logan, and therefore, we can't trade him."
Which is technically true, but if Mankins decided to sign his restricted free agent tender, then the team could trade him.
One thing's seemingly for certain, though -- Mankins will not be heading to the Bears, per a report from ESPNChicago:
They're just not likely to find them by Tuesday's trade deadline, according to multiple personnel executives around the league, who identified some of the potential snags of a trade while questioning whether Mankins is actually worth what Chicago would have to give up to acquire him.
