The college football regular season is almost over, which means it's time to look at where the best teams will end up come the bowl season.
Unfortunately for Boston-area fans, this campaign isn't a banner year. The UConn Huskies (4-6), Boston College Eagles (2-8) and UMass Minutemen (1-9) all will end up on the outside looking in.
However, those teams, along with the rest of us, will enjoy some great national action. The BCS National Championship game looks like a very intriguing game between the high-flying Oregon Ducks and the Kansas State Wildcats.
The Sugar Bowl could also be fascinating, with the Alabama Crimson Tide projected to square off against the ACC's Clemson Tigers.
Of course, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have made a return to relevancy and are slated to play the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the legendary Rose Bowl, according to Jason Kirk.
