Boston College received one first-place vote in the USCHO Division I poll this week, and it might gain even more ground with a successful weekend upcoming. Now ranked as the No. 4 team in the nation, the Eagles will face two ranked opponents on Sunday and Tuesday of next week.
No. 17 Merrimack hosts Boston College on Sunday for a 4 p.m. ET start. The Eagles suffered a 2-1 overtime loss to the Warriors back on Feb. 15, but came away with a win when the two teams first met last November.
On Tuesday the Eagles head back home for a 7 p.m. ET game with No. 12 Massachusetts-Lowell, marking the first time the two sides have faced off this season. If Boston College can pull off these two victories, we can certainly expect a few more first-place votes headed its way when the next polls are released.
Quinnipiac, the No. 1 team in college hockey at this point, is set to take on No. 13 Yale at 7:30 p.m. ET tonight. At 22-4-4 overall, the Bobcats have held down the top spot for two weeks.
No. 15 Boston University has a two-game series with Massachusetts-Lowell over the next two days starting tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET.
