Boston College found the back of the net in the second period of their NCAA Northeast Regional matchup against Minnesota-Duluth. They take a 2-0 lead into the second intermission.
The Eagles’ two goals were scored within a minute and a half of each other. Pat Mullane rushed up to the skates of Bulldogs’ goaltender Kenny Reiter and shoveled the puck in for Boston College’s first goal four minutes into the second frame.
Just a minute and 26 seconds later, Steven Whitney showed good awareness, sliding the puck from behind the net to teammate Bill Arnold, who stuffed it past Reiter’s right side.
Boston College goalie Parker Milner made eight saves in the second period, good for 15 for the game so far. Reiter made six saves in the second period, good for 14 overall.
