The Boston College Eagles are No. 1 in the USCHO.com men's hockey poll for the fifth straight week, maintaining their top ranking despite losing four votes.
A week after receiving all 50 first-place votes, Boston College received 47 this week. The Eagles improved to 9-1 on the season with a 4-3 win against Merrimack on Friday. Their 996 points put them 48 points ahead of Denver, which received two first-place votes and finished with 948 points. While Boston College held onto the No. 1 spot, its 996 points was the team's lowest total since the Oct. 29 poll.
The Eagles weren't the only Hockey East team to receive a first place vote. New Hampshire received one first-place vote and moved up two spots to No. 3. Boston University also moved up a spot, jumping from No. 11 to No. 10. Harvard remained at No. 17 in the latest rankings.
