Women's 2012 NCAA Tournament, UConn Vs. Kentucky Final Score: Huskies Advance To Final Four With 80-65 Win

The 1-seed Connecticut Huskies are headed to the Final Four at the 2012 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament after taking out the 2-seed Kentucky Wildcats on Monday night. The Huskies led by just two points at halftime, but led by as many as 22 in the second half on their way to an 80-65 win.

Tiffany Hayes scored 22 points to pace the Huskies, going 6-for-11 from the floor. She and two other players led the team with eight rebounds to help UConn to a massive 37-21 advantage on the boards. Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis added 18 points to help the Huskies match a school-record five straight Final Four appearances.

Samarie Walker led the Wildcats with 14 points. Unfortunately, Kentucky had no answer for the defensive prowess of the Huskies in the second half. For the game, the Wildcats just 31.1 percent from the field, and 28.6 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.

The Huskies will face the winner of Monday night's late game between the 2-seed Maryland Terrapins and the 1-seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the tournament semifinals in Denver.
