2012 Women's NCAA Tournament, UConn Vs. Penn State Final Score: Huskies Win, 77-59

The UConn Huskies defeated the Penn State Lady Lions, 77-59, in the Sweet 16 of the 2012 Women's NCAA Tournament on Sunday at the Ryan Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

UConn continued their dominance from the first half into the second half. The Huskies carried a 43-29 lead into the second half. They would score all the points they would ultimately need to win the game with over 10 minutes remaining in the game. UConn opened the second half on a 10-0 run. The Huskies kept hitting shots over 50% in the second half to cruise to a Sweet 16 win.

UConn was paced by Bria Hartley with 20 points. Kelly Farris chipped in 15 points for the Huskies. The Lady Lions were led by Mia Nickson with 19 points.

The Huskies move on to the Elite Eight to face the Kentucky Wildcats or the Gonzaga Bulldogs on March 27 at 7 p.m.
