Rudy Gay To Be Added To UConn 'Huskies Of Honor' Wall On Saturday

Former UConn Huskies forward Rudy Gay will be added to the UConn "Huskies of Honor" wall at Gampel Pavilion on Saturday during the Huskies' game against the No. 2 Syracuse Orange (via AP).

The wall honors former UConn men and women's basketball players and coaches. Gay will be the 18th former men's basketball player inductee on the wall. Current Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen was also inducted to the "Huskies of Honor." There are reportedly plans to add Ben Gordon and Caron Butler to the "Huskies of Honor" in the future (via Courant).

In his two years at UConn, Gay was a Big East Co-Rookie of the Year and a second-team AP All-America selection in 2006. As a Husky, Gay averaged 13.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

Gay currently plays for the Memphis Grizzlies. He averages 18.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game this season.
