UConn Vs. Villanova Final Score: Shabazz Napier Hits Buzzer Beater In Overtime For Win

Tyrone Johnson went most of the length the court off of a missed Jeremy Lamb free throw to tie the game at 70 apiece with just four second left in overtime. Shabazz Napier was not to be outdone, however, bombing a long 3-pointer to put the Connecticut Huskies up 73-70 over the Villanova Wildcats with 0.6 seconds left. The win was the Huskies' third in their last 10 games.

The game was tied at halftime and at the end of regulation, and appeared to be headed for a second overtime prior to Napier's buzzer beater. The Huskies could have given themselves an easier go of things but went just 10-for-21 from the free throw line, giving up seven points to the Wildcats at the charity stripe.

The Wildcats, meanwhile, struggled to get around the lengthy Huskies. UConn blocked 10 shots on the night, including five for Andre Drummond who also pitched in 11 rebounds. The freshman center was technically the Huskies second leading scorer on the night, though he had just eight points. His output was dwarfed by Lamb, who had 32 on 11-for-21 shooting from the field.

Dominic Cheek led the Wildcats with 23 points, but also committed six turnovers to just three assists. He scored 10 points in the first 13 minutes of the game to push the Wildcats out to a 28-12 lead. He scored just once more in the half, however, allowing the Huskies to crawl back and tie the game at 30-30 going into the locker room.
