Nerlens Noel, who had been rated the No. 2 high school basketball recruit in the class of 2013, told ESPN.com's Dave Telep that he is reclassifying to become a senior and will now be a member of the class of 2012. The reclassification will leave him eligible to play college hoops in the fall.

Noel, a 6-foot-10 center who has been compared to Bill Russell by at least one NBA scout, is looking at Syracuse, UConn, Providence, Kentucky, Florida, Georgetown and North Carolina. He has already planned an official visit to Syracuse on Nov. 11 and is leaning toward visiting Kentucky, Florida, Georgetown and North Carolina. He has already made unofficial visits to UConn and Providence.

After playing at Everett High School in Everett, MA, Noel transferred to Tilton School in New Hampshire. He is one of the top NBA prospects in the high school ranks and is considered ready to step into any college program and make an instant impact.
