After two consecutive losses, it wasn't a question of whether the Connecticut Huskies men's basketball team would fall in the latest NCAA basketball rankings. It was a question of how far they would drop.

After disappointing losses to Seton Hall and Rutgers, the Huskies fell from No. 8 last week to No. 16 this week in the USA Today/ESPN Top 25 Coaches Poll.

Syracuse continues to lead the rankings, receiving 30 of 31 first-place votes. The Orange are followed in the top five by Kentucky (who received the other first-place vote), North Carolina, Baylor and Ohio State. Except Syracuse, Baylor and Murray State (No. 14) are the only ranked undefeated teams.

UConn looks to rebound from its losing streak on Monday night, when the Huskies host West Virginia in a Big East bout. The Huskies have yet to lose at home this season.

Harvard maintained its place in the top 25 (No. 25) despite a surprising defeat at Fordham.
