UConn's Shabazz Napier Named Bob Cousy Award Finalist

Shabazz Napier of the Connecticut Huskies was named a finalist for the 2012 Bob Cousy Award today (via Cousy Award.com).

Napier is second on the UConn team in scoring with 14.1 points per game. Napier also picks up 4.2 rebounds per game, 2 steals per game (fourth in the Big East) and dishes out 6.4 assists per game (third in the Big East) in 35.4 minutes per game for the No. 8 Huskies (12-2) this season.

Big East conference foes Petyon Siva of Louisville, Ashton Gibbs of Pittsburgh and Scoop Jardine of Syracuse are also Cousy Award finalists.

The Cousy Award has been awarded annually to the nation's top point guard since the 2003-2004 season. Former UConn point guard Kemba Walker won the Cousy Award last season.
