Connecticut Huskies defensive tackle Kendall Reyes was invited to the Senior Bowl today. The 63rd Senior Bowl will be played at 4 p.m. on Jan. 28 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. The game itself as well as all of the practices will be televised on NFL Network (via Senior Bowl.com).
Reyes was an All-Big East first-team selection in 2011. He started all 12 games this season and made 46 tackles (13.5 for loss), 4.5 sacks, 4 pass breakups and had one fumble return for a touchdown. For his career, Reyes made 142 tackles (32.5 for loss) and 11.5 sacks.
Reyes joins Cincinnati running back Isaiah Pead as the only Big East selections to the Senior Bowl. Both Reyes and Pead are projected to go in the later rounds of the 2012 NFL Draft.
