2011 Final Four: Butler, UConn Advance To NCAA Championship Game

Even with two games on the schedule, the 2011 NCAA Tournament did not disappoint.

Butler topped VCU, 70-62, and Connecticut edged Kentucky, 56-55, in the 2011 Final Four at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas on Saturday night. Butler and UConn will meet in the 2011 NCAA national title game on Monday.

In the day's first game, Shelvin Mack scored 24 points and Matt Howard added 17 points as the Bulldogs toppled the Rams. Jamie Skeen led all scorers with 27 points for VCU.

The final game of the night featured a match-up of two traditional college basketball powers: Kentucky and UConn. While the game went down to the wire, it was clear that the Huskies wanted it more than the Wildcats.

Kemba Walker led all scorers with 18 points and Jeremy Lamb had 12 points and eight rebounds for UConn. The Wildcats were led by Brandon Knight's 17-point, eight rebound performance.
