The field of 68 has been whittled down to four, and per usual, everyone's bracket has been destroyed (mine included).
The 2011 Final Four takes place on Saturday with Connecticut facing Kentucky (8:49 p.m. EDT, CBS) and VCU taking on Butler (6:09 p.m., CBS) to determine which two teams will meet in the national championship game on Monday night.
This year's Final Four features two time-tested programs in UConn and Kentucky, as well as two Cinderellas in VCU and Butler. The Bulldogs opened up as a 2.5-point favorite while Kentucky also opened up as a 2.5-point favorite.
Yet in this tournament, the word favorite means nothing. If it did, none of these teams would be i the Final Four, as this is the first time that there are no top or second seeds involved in the Final Four.
So what's going to give? Which controversial coach, Jim Calhoun or John Calipari, will make it through to the title game? Will VCU be this year's Butler, or will Butler be this year's Butler? Tune in to find out.
