2011 WNBA Draft: Connecticut Sun Draft Adrienne Johnson With No. 28 Overall Pick

Adrienne Johnson of Louisiana Tech was selected with the fourth pick (28th overall) in the third round of the 2011 WNBA Draft on Monday afternoon in Bristol, Connecticut.

In four seasons at Louisiana Tech, Johnson averaged 15.2 points and had 914 rebounds. In addition, Johnson shot at a 47.3 percent clip and was a 77.7 percent shooter at the free throw line.

Johnson was one of two players drafted by the Sun on Monday, as they also selected Texas A&M's Sydney Colson with the No. 16 overall pick, but traded her to the New York Liberty.

The Sun also acquired Tahnee Robinson of Nevada from the Phoenix Mercury, who drafted Robinson with seventh pick in the third round (No. 31 overall) and proceeded to trade her to Connecticut.

Robinson played two seasons at Nevada and averaged 19.1 points during her collegiate career. Last season, Robinson averaged a career-high 22.2 points and grabbed 184 rebounds for Nevada.
