As expected, Maya Moore of UConn was drafted No. 1 overall by the Minnesota Lynx. Elizabeth Camabage of Australia was taken with the No. 2 overall pick by the Tulsa Shock and Courtney Vandersloot was drafted with the third overall pick by the Chicago Sky in the 2011 WNBA Draft on Monday afternoon.
Xavier's Amber Harris was taken fourth overall by the Lynx and Jantel Lavender was drafted with the No. 5 pick by the Los Angeles Sparks. Danielle Robinson of Oklahoma was taken with the sixth pick by the San Antonio Silver Stars and the Shock drafted Kayla Pederson of Stanford with the seventh pick.
The Atlanta Dream picked Xavier's Ta'Shia Phillips with the eighth pick, the Indiana Fever drafted Stanford's Jeanette Pohlen at No. 9 and Georgia Tech's Alex Montogomery was picked with the tenth overall pick by the New York Liberty.
Kentucky's Victoria Dunlap was taken with the No. 11 pick by the Washington Mystics and the Seattle Storm drafted Jasmine Thomas of Duke with the 12th and final pick of the first round.
