NCAA Tournament 2011: Kemba Walker, UConn Top Cincy, 69-58

Kemba Walker scored 33 points and had five rebounds and four assists as No. 3 seed Connecticut defeated No. 6 seed Cincinnati, 69-58, in the Round of 32 in the 2011 NCAA Tournament on Saturday night in Washington D.C.

Connecticut (34-9) will face No. 3 seed San Diego State in the Sweet 16 round of the 2011 NCAA Tournament on Thursday in Anaheim, CA.

The Huskies led 36-28 at halftime, but the Bearcats fought back to take a one-point lead, 39-38. UConn outscored Cincy, 33-30, in the final half, sealing the victory.

Jeremy Lamb scored 14 points off the bench for UConn, which made 19-of-44 shots (43.2%) in the win. Lamb was nearly perfect from the floor, making 5-of-7 shots, and also grabbed a game-high six rebounds. Jamal Coombs-McDaniel was the only other Huskies player to score in double-digits, finishing with 10 points.

Rashad Bishop scored 22 points to pace the Bearcats (28-10), who were held to 40.7% shooting (22-for-54). Yancy Gates scored 11 points and had six rebounds and Cashmere Wright added eight points and four assists.
