At 5-6 on the season the Huskies have some serious work to do if they are to mount a comeback and acquire that magical sixth win to become bowl eligible this season. At halftime of their game with the Cincinnati Bearcats they trail 28-6, and have been thoroughly dominated throughout.
Quarterback Johnny McEntee has played poorly thus far, completing only six of 13 passes for 59 yards. He also has two turnovers, both of which were returned for touchdowns by the Bearcats. Running back Lyle McCombs has carried the ball 11 times for 21 yards.
Both teams have two turnovers and six penalties a piece. Cincy has out-gained the Huskies 225 to 64.
The second half of the game can be seen on ESPN and ESPN3. Connecticut will begin the third quarter with the football.
