UConn started Big East play on Wednesday with a road game against the South Florida Bulls. The Huskies have yet to play a road game this season, and bring a 10-1 record to the Sunshine State for their first road game. The Bulls are 7-6, but have yet to lose a game on their home court. After the first half, the Huskies have a narrow 40-38 lead.
UConn’s Jerry Lamb has seven points, four rebounds and one assist. Alex Oriakhi has six points for the Huskies. Toarlyn Fitzpatrick leads the Bulls with nine points, three rebounds and a steal. Fitzpatrick has also hit all three of his three-point attempts in the first half.
This is the tenth time these teams have played each other. UConn has won eight of those games. Their only loss to the Bulls came on March 6, 2010.
