Connecticut (5-6) At Cincinnati (8-3): Huskies Aim To Play Big East Spoiler (Again) Against Bearcats

The Connecticut Huskies (5-6) will try to play spoiler at Nippert Stadium on Saturday afternoon when they take on the Cincinnati Bearcats (8-3) at 12:00 p.m. ET live on ESPN/ESPN3.

The Connecticut Huskies (5-6) will paw their way into Nippert Stadium on Saturday afternoon to take on the Cincinnati Bearcats (8-3) at 12:00 p.m. ET live via ESPN/ESPN3.

Just like they did last week against Rutgers, the Huskies will try to spoil the Big East title chase for Cincinnati, who is in a three-way race for the crown along with West Virginia and Louisville. Now that the Mountaineers have won, the Bearcats need to do the same this weekend at home.

But Connecticut isn't just looking to play spoiler, they also have their eye on a bowl game. From UConn wide receiver Nick Williams:

"We're real focused. We can't be worried about any distractions. We can make a bowl, we don't make a bowl, we can't do anything without a win. We're just real focused going into this game. We have to go on the road and beat a real good Cincinnati team. They have a great record. They are good on all three phases as well. It's going to be a tough game ... I put a big responsibility on myself to help the team out in that regard. Anytime you can eliminate first downs without the offense having to go on the field - that really helps out. If you get a big return, that's three or four first downs. That's less work the offense needs to do to get in scoring position."

The Huskies are getting eight points in the spread (+8) with an over/under of 47. To see how they match up from a betting perspective check out the lines at Odds Shark.
