The Connecticut Huskies dropped to No. 8 in the latest AP Top 25 NCAA basketball rankings after a disappointing loss to Central Florida last week. The defending NCAA champs had been No. 4 in all the previous rankings.

Kentucky moved into the top slot after North Carolina's first loss dropped the Tar Heels from their paper throne. UNC dropped to No. 5, while UNLV used their upset of North Carolina in the championship game of the Las Vegas Invitational to jump from unranked to No. 18.

The top ten teams are Kentucky, Ohio State, Duke, Syracuse, North Carolina, Louisville, Baylor, UConn, Wisconsin and Florida.

Harvard used wins against Florida State and Central Florida to move to 6-0, receiving enough votes to be ranked No. 27 if the rankings went past the top 25. The Crimson resume play against Vermont on Tuesday.
