2011 Bowl Projections: UConn Huskies Predicted To Become Bowl Eligible

SB Nation's Bill Connelly predicts the UConn Huskies will become bowl eligible.

After falling to 3-5 with a loss to Pittsburgh, the UConn Huskies need three wins in their remaining four games to become bowl eligible.

The Huskies host Syracuse, Louisville and Rutgers before finishing the regular season Saturday, Dec. 3 at Cincinnati. Considering UConn's play through the first eight games, winning three of those four Big East challenges is a daunting task.

But smile, UConn fans: SB Nation's Bill Connelly still predicts the Huskies will meet Tennessee in the BBVA Compass Bowl, played on Jan. 7.

The Huskies will resume their quest for bowl eligibility Saturday against Syracuse at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT. The Orange upset West Virginia two weeks ago, but fell back to earth with a 27-10 loss to Louisville Saturday that dropped Syracuse's record to 5-3, including 1-2 in the Big East Conference.
