The Boston Celtics welcome Rajon Rondo back from his two-game suspension Wednesday night when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The Celtics enter action with a 9-8 record. They are coming off a 91-88 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday.

The Timberwolves are 8-8 and are riding a two-game winning streak. Minnesota picked up wins over the Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Having Rondo back will be a nice boost for the Celtics. Rondo is averaging 13 points and 13 assists per game this season. The team's leading scorer has been veteran forward Paul Pierce, who's averaging 19 per game. Kevin Garnett is also having a strong year, averaging 16 points and seven rebounds per game.

The Timberwolves are led by All-Star forward Kevin Love. For the fourth consecutive season, Love is averaging a double-double, with 19 points and 15 rebounds per game. Nikola Pekovic is the team's second-leading scorer, averaging 14 points per game.

The game will be shown on CSN New England.
