Home Run Derby 2012: Prince Fielder Wins 2nd Career Title

Prince Fielder belted 12 home runs in the final round of the 2012 MLB Home Run Derby to beat Jose Bautista for his second career title at the event. Fielder also hit the longest ball at the event, going 476 feet in the second round and the finals. Bautista led the field with 11 home runs in the first round. He petered off as the competition went on, however. He hit seven homers in the final round.

Robinson Cano of the New York Yankees was the captain for the American League. He was eliminated in the first round after hitting zero home runs, but he did an excellent picking his team. After two rounds, the Top 3 at the even were from the AL, with the addition of Mark Trumbo.
