Cody Ross Injury: Red Sox Outfielder Out Of Lineup, X-Rays Negative

Red Sox outfielder, Cody Ross, had to leave Friday's game against the Phillies in the eighth inning, after fouling a ball off his foot. Ross was immediately X-Rayed, and it was reported by Rob Bradford, of WEEI, that there was no break.

Bradford went on to tweet that Ross is moving "very, very slowly" the day after. He will not be in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.

The 31-year-old outfielder has been a huge part of the Red Sox lineup this season. He's already hit eight bombs and driven in 28 runs. His home run/fly ball ratio suggests his power numbers should decrease as the season continues, but he bat should remain key to the Red Sox success.
