The Red Sox will try to make it two wins in a row as they send Josh Beckett to the mound against the Twins Tuesday night. First pitch is at 8:10 p.m. EST with broadcasts on NESN, MLB Network, and WEEI.
The only change to the lineup comes behind the plate, and it's a bit aggravating. After a terrible start to the season, Jarrod Saltalamacchia has gone 6-for-9 in the last couple of games with a homer and two doubles. He will not be starting tonight, however, as Josh Beckett continues his trend of being the odd-man-out on catchers. Instead, Kelly Shoppach will be the one calling the pitches.
Of course, Kelly Shoppach has been on a roll himself in his relatively few plate appearances. But with Shoppach largely a lefty-masher and right-handed Nick Blackburn taking the mound for the Twins, it's something of a tough pill to swallow.
