Roy Oswalt Rumors: Boston Red Sox 'Reaching Out' To Free Agent Hurler

They just won't leave poor Roy Oswalt alone. Not content with their current pitching situation (they really, really shouldn't be), the Boston Red Sox are among the teams reportedly reaching out to free agent pitcher Roy Oswalt as they desperately attempt to plug up the holes on their sinking 4-10 ship.

Oswalt to Boston sounds pretty good right now.

This isn't the first time the Sox have reached out to the All-Star pitcher. Boston, among other teams, made a run at Oswalt in the offseason, but he he made the decision to wait before signing (kind of a cheap move, if you ask me. Brett Favre-esque, almost). Oswalt has pitched for two teams in his career, the Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies. Oswalt has a career 159-93 record with a 3.21 ERA and 1,759 strikeouts in 11 seasons.
