This Week In Boston Sports: Red Sox Steal The Show At MLB All-Star Game, Home Run Derby

In the inaugural edition of This Week In Boston Sports, David Ortiz and the Boston Red Sox are stealing the show at the Home Run Derby and 2011 MLB All-Star Game.

This Week In Boston Sports is a weekly preview of what's on tap in the Boston sports scene for the coming week, highlighting the Bruins, Celtics, Patriots, Red Sox, Revolution, as well as Boston College and UConn.

Boston Red Sox: July 11th- Home Run Derby

July 12th- MLB All-Star Game

July 15th-17th- Red Sox @ Rays

David Ortiz is the captain for the American League in the 2011 Home Run Derby and has brought fellow Red Sox teammate, Adrian Gonzalez, as well as Jose Bautista and Robinson Cano, with him. On Tuesday, the MLB All-Star game takes place, and six Red Sox players have been named to the game: Ortiz and Gonzalez as starters, Josh Beckett and Jon Lester in the rotation and Jacoby Ellsbury as a reserve. With a few days of rest, the Sox will be heading to Tampa Bay on Friday as they begin the second half of the season.

Boston Bruins: Many of the Boston Bruins coaches and players will be taking the cup to different places. Some players will be taking it to their home countries and/or towns.

New England Patriots: The lockout continues, but looks to be getting closer to completing a deal. Once a new CBA is reached, the Patriots will be able to begin their pursuit of their fourth Super Bowl title in the Tom Brady era.

Boston Celtics: This lockout is just a mess. Watch for some Celtics (possibly rookies) to be heading over to Europe in the next week. We have already seen Deron Williams head over to Turkey, so could any big Celtics players head over there? It's possible.

New England Revolution: July 13th- vs. Manchester United

July 17th - vs. Union
