Tom Werner's name has been thrown around as a potential new owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who were taken over by Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig after he decided current owner Frank McCourt was detrimental to the team's interests.
↵However, Werner told the Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo that he has absolutely no interest in taking over the Dodgers.
↵↵"I cannot be more definitive than this," said Werner, who owned the San Diego Padres with a group of partners from 1990-94. "I am very happy to be John Henry's business partner. We're engaged in some very exciting situations.
↵"I'll say what I've always said: I am very happy in Boston, I have no interest in pursuing that opportunity. And that's my answer now and that will be my answer in the future."
