Manny Ramirez: 'If Any Team Wants To Sign Me, I Would Play'

Manny Ramirez is planning on making a return to Major League Baseball, as first reported by FOX Sports. Ramirez, 39, last played for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2011, but left the game amidst a second positive drug test which would have resulted in a 100-game ban.

"If any team wants to sign me, I would play," Ramirez said (via FOXSports.com). "If no one does, I would look to play in Japan or any other place. I was not prepared for retirement."

Ramirez played only five games in 2011, batting .059 with zero home runs and one RBI. In 19 season, Ramirez batted .312 with 555 home runs and 1,831 RBI.

Since leaving baseball, Ramirez had a brush in with the law after a domestic dispute at his Florida home. Ramirez's wife claims that he slapped her in the head, which caused her to hit her head against a bed post.
