Boston Red Sox Finalize Coaching Staff

The Boston Red Sox have finalized their 2012 coaching staff. General manager Ben Cherington and manager Bobby Valentine announced the staff earlier today (via Boston.redsox.mlb.com).

Tim Bogar will be the bench coach. Bob McClure will be the pitching coach. Alex Ochoa will take over first base coach duties. Jerry Royster will take over coaching duties on the third base side.

Hitting coach Dave Magadan and bullpen coach Gary Tuck will remain in those roles for this season.

Bogar is in his fourth year with the Red Sox. He has previously been the third base and first base coach. McClure has only recently joined the Red Sox. He began as a special assignment scout/instructor. Ochoa was the hitting coach for Boston's Single A affiliate Salem last season. Royster has been in pro baseball for more than 40 years. He was most recently employed in pro baseball as the manager of the Lotte Giants in Korea from 2008-10.
