Adrian Gonzalez is still a hot commodity, even in the offseason as he prepares for his second season with the Boston Red Sox. Gonzalez will grace the cover of MLB 12 The Show, one of the most popular baseball games on the video gaming market (there are really only two, but it's still a good series).
"It's not just that Adrian is a great player on the field, we want a good all-around person to represent us," said Sony Computer Entertainment America sports product marketing manager Tyler Vaught (via Boston Herald). "And the Red Sox [team stats] are one of the top markets. It's the market he's in and the performance he's had that made him a great fit."
Gonzalez isn't the first Red Sox to be on the cover of the video game, though, as teammate Dustin Pedroia was on the cover of MLB 09 The Show. The game hits stores on March 6, just in time or spring training.
