Don Orsillo is back in the fold, signing a four-year contract extension with NESN, as reported by industry sources of CSNNE's Seam McAdam, to keep him giggling in the booth of Boston Red Sox broadcasts with color analyst Jerry Remy.
Orsillo was a highly sought after man, as both TBS - where he works calling game during the postseason - and MLB Network reportedly offered him a job. But the loyal Orsillo turned them down and will stay with us in New England.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Heidi Watney, who did not have her contract renwed and will head out west to work for Time Warner Cable, serving as a sideline reporter for the network's Los Angeles Lakers broadcasts in her native state. However, with the NBA Lockout, it could be a while until Watney begins her new job. Currently, she is set to begin in the 2012-13 season.
